Govt refutes social media claim of death of woman during NEET protest

 

The government has refuted social media posts claiming that a 21 year old woman died during the NEET paper leak protest in Delhi. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau has clarified that these claims are fake. It said that the woman who was seriously injured in an incident related to the protests is alive and undergoing treatment. The Fact Check Unit informed that her condition is steadily improving, adding that she has been taken off the ventilator. Government has urged people to remain vigilant, avoid falling for misinformation and refrain from sharing unverified claims on social media.
