Centre appoints Secretaries in various Ministries and Departments

 

The Centre has appointed Secretaries in various Ministries and Departments. Vineet Joshi, presently Secretary, Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Naresh Pal Gangwar will be the new Secretary, Department of Higher Education, while T K Anil Kumar has been appointed Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy.

Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Katikithala Srinivas, has been appointed Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. Keshav Chandra has been appointed Secretary, Ministry of Mines, and Chandra Bhushan Kumar will be Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Sushil Kumar Lohani has been appointed Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying. Satendra Singh will be Secretary, Department of Urban Development, and D Thara has been appointed Secretary, Department of Capital Development. Piyush Goyal has been appointed Secretary General of the National Human Rights Commission.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved these appointments.
