HUDCO to conduct first two-day UiWIN regional workshop in Visakhapatnam

 The first two-day regional workshop on the Urban Invest Window (UiWIN) will be conducted by Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) in Visakhapatnam, starting today. HUDCO, a Navratna NBFC under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, launched UiWIN in November 2025 as an institutional mechanism to support Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and cities in developing bankable and investment-ready urban infrastructure projects.

The workshop aims to create awareness about UiWIN as a structured single-window platform to strengthen project preparation, financial structuring, asset monetisation and access to capital markets for urban development. Around 100 to 150 Municipal Commissioners and senior officials from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are expected to participate. The deliberations will focus on building a pipeline of future-ready urban infrastructure projects and facilitating effective utilisation of resources such as the Urban Challenge Fund and grants available under the 16th Finance Commission.

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development P. Narayana will attend as the chief guest. Senior representatives from HUDCO, NITI Aayog, NABFID, NIIF, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank will take part and share their perspectives on urban infrastructure financing, project structuring and investment opportunities for cities.
