Rain, snowfall trigger flash flood alert in Ladakh

 

With the onset of the monsoon in Ladakh, incessant light rain continued at many places across all districts today, while higher reaches and mountain passes witnessed snowfall and poor visibility. The Met Department, Ladakh, has issued a warning of the risk of strong and sudden water currents in local nallahs and the possibility of flash floods.
