In Russia, three people were killed and 21 injured after a homemade explosive device detonated at an Italian restaurant in Moscow. The blast happened at Kudrinskaya Square in central Moscow last night. Russia’s National Anti-Terrorist Committee said a woman carrying explosives was stopped by a security guard as she tried to enter the restaurant. The device then detonated, killing the woman, the guard and one visitor. The area around the Stalin-era skyscraper where the restaurant is located was briefly sealed off.
