India has dispatched the first tranche of urgent medical supplies and protective kits to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention today.
In a post on X, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said the supplies have been sent in response to the emerging Ebola public health emergency. He added that India remains committed to supporting Africa in responding to the crisis, in coordination with the African Union.
The assistance reflects India’s continued engagement with African nations in strengthening public health systems and responding to health emergencies. New Delhi has consistently extended support to partner countries during outbreaks and natural disasters as part of its global humanitarian outreach.
